Houwitser seems to be taking a bit more of a American brutal death metal sound on this release, marking a bit of a shift from their previous sound. Two very good, intense songs from one of my favorite acts. While well played and produced, the songs lead us down a path to more familiar sounding, well-trodden-by-others territory. Somewhat personally disappointing.
